Utica, N.Y. - The men's basketball team improved to 3-0 on the year by beating local rival Mohawk Valley CC 73-68. Herkimer led at the half by one and would eventually win by a 5 point margin. The Generals were lead by freshman guard Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) who scored 20 points and 8 assists in the win. Other top scorers were sophomore guard Melad Daoud (Yonkers, NY) with 13 points and sophomore guard Mattson Darrah with 12. Solomon Silas (Lagos, Nigeria) cleaned up on the boards with a total of 9. Of those nine rebounds 4 were offensive.
Herkimer will play home next versus Hudson Valley at 3 pm on Saturday November 11th. The Generals improved to 3-0 (3-0) on the year.
