It caused the Lions to call their second time out, but it didn't stop the Generals from building a 20 point lead (45-24) by intermission with 10 different players scoring in the first 20 minutes of play. Dorrian led the way with 13 first half points, Daniel Owens (Albany, NY) had seven, Anquan McLean Jr. (Albany, NY) had six, Tyquan Scott (Long Beach, NY) had four, Justin Harley (Central Islip, NY) had four, Shomari Redd (Westbury, NY) had four, Matt Dallas (Hudson, NY) had three and both Timothy McKenzie (Central Islip, NY) and David McKenzie (Central Islip, NY) had two.

In the second half, Herkimer managed to push the lead to 30 points after Scott hit his only three-point field goal of the game and 40 points after Christopher Simmons (Utica, NY) sank a couple free throws after a flagrant foul was called on the court with less than six minutes left in regulation.

Helping the team almost reach a 50-point victory was freshman Jacob Paulino (Latham, NY). The guard scored the final seven points for the Generals in the remaining minutes of regulation, sinking two three-point field goals and also adding a free throw which gave the guard a career-high seven points. Paulino currently has three made three-point field goals on the season.
