HERKIMER, NY – Losing an 18-point halftime lead in the span of 15 minutes, the #5 Herkimer Generals men's basketball team was able to regroup and outscore Hudson Valley 20-to-13 down the stretch, defeating the Vikings 91-84 for their first loss of the season.

Herkimer (5-0, 3-0) lost their double digit lead with just over five minutes left in regulation (73-71) until freshman Shomari Redd (Westbury, NY) sank a three-point basketball after a timeout to regain the lead 74-73 with 4:47 left.
