Men’s basketball remains undefeated on the road, defeat TC3

DRYDEN, NY – Playing six of their last eight games on the road has not fazed the Herkimer Generals men's basketball team, remaining undefeated in those contests, most recently defeating Tompkins-Cortland Community College 77-66 on Sunday (12/7).

Herkimer (9-1, 3-0) had beaten their last eight opponents by double digits coming into Panther country Sunday. The team didn't get that same result with Jamell Johnson (Rochester, NY) scoring a season-low two points, but freshman Pat Dorrian (Kingston, NY) gave the team a lift with a season-high 20 points, shooting 66 percent from the field and 57 percent from three point land.

Dorrian wasn't the only General to come up big on Sunday. Ken Woodard (Bronx, NY), Carson, Murphy (Mohawk, NY) and Dantre Langhorne (Greenport, NY) also scored in double figures. Woodard managed 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks; Carson had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists; and Langhorne had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Herkimer will remain on the road this Wednesday (12/10), looking to beat the only team which has given them a loss this season, Monroe Community College. The Tribunes are 3-2 in their last five games, but are 3-1 against NJCAA DIII competition this season. The Generals have a current nine-game win streak headed into this one with tip off schedule for 7 p.m.
