Bio

Coach Harrington enters his first season as an Assistant Coach after spending the past two seasons in the same role at SUNY Adirondack.

Harrington brings a strong track record of success as both a player and a coach to the program. His playing career began at Herkimer College, where he helped lead the team to two Regional Championships and back-to-back 3rd place finishes at the NJCAA National Tournament. During his time at Herkimer, he earned NJCAA Region 3 Tournament MVP honors for his outstanding contributions in 2015.

He went on to play two years at SUNY Cortland, where he was a key part of teams that made two NCAA Tournament appearances. In his senior year, he was recognized as the 2018 SUNYAC Don Axtell Pitcher of the Year, the 2018 New York Region Pitcher of the Year, and earned D3 All-American honors. Over his collegiate career, he compiled impressive stats, including 199.1 innings pitched, a 2.82 career ERA, and a 23-3 overall record.

After wrapping up his playing career, Harrington shifted his focus to coaching. He spent two years as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland, where he helped develop top-tier talent, before moving on to coach at SUNY Adirondack for another two seasons. Now entering his fifth season as a coach, he continues to bring his competitive spirit and wealth of experience to the field.

Baseball is in his blood—his grandfather, Tim, has worked as a scout for the Boston Red Sox for more than 20 years. Coach Harrington draws from this family legacy, as well as his own success as a player and coach, to make a lasting impact on the athletes he works with every day.

Harrington earned his Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Herkimer College in 2015, his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland in 2018, and a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from SUNY Cortland in 2020.

He resides in Herkimer, NY, with his wife Lauren.
