Generals Take 2 of 3 from No. 1 Ranked Rowan College-Gloucester

LITTLE FALLS, NY -- The Herkimer Generals hosted Rowan College South Jersey - Gloucester Roadrunners for a three game set of Nationally ranked foes. The Generals took game 1 and 2 by the scores of 12-2 and 8-0 on Saturday, but fell to the Roadrunners on Sunday 8-6. 

The Generals were led in the series by Sophomore Outfielder Jordan Lewis, who finished the series with 6-9 with 6 RBI's, 5 runs and 3 stolen bases. Ty Gallagher added 3 hits and 4 RBI's for the Generals with 2 runs and Sal Carricato added 3 hits, 3 RBI's and 2 runs for the Generals. 

Herkimer's starting pitchers Ryan Packard, Greg Farone and Ethan Patch were stellar on the weekend, surrendering 4 earned runs in 19 innings pitched. Packard scattered 6 hits over 6 innings with 6 strikeouts and Farone only allowed 4 hits in the complete game shutout striking out 9. Packard moves to 8-0 on the season and Farone moves to 4-0. Ethan Patch(Whitehall, NY) surrendered 3 earned runs in 6.1 innings of work, striking out 5.

The Generals move to 30-5 and will travel to Mohawk Valley CC for the final Region III doubleheader of the regular season on May 10th.
