Little Falls, NY - Facing elimination from the Region III Tournament and the possible end to their season, the top seeded Herkimer Generals came up with 2 big wins on Saturday to advance to the Region III Championship Round on Sunday afternoon against Finger Lakes Community College at Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls. Herkimer started the day with a thrilling 11-10 10 inning win over # 2 seed Niagara County Community College before ending the day with a 12-7 win over 4th seeded Erie Community College on Saturday night. The wins moves the Generals record to 33-4-2 on the year.
The Championship round will start at 3:00 PM at Vets Park against Finger Lakes, the # 3 seed. The Generals must win Game 6 to force a winner take all Game 7, which would occur 35 min after the conclusion of Game 6. If the Lakers win Game 6, they will win the 2019 Region III Championship.
