Kayla Barber, October Athlete of the Month

Women’s volleyball player Kayla Barber, of South Glens Falls, NY, was a standout player for the Generals this year, contributing to their 7-0 Mountain Valley Conference record and the Conference Championship win. Kayla was recognized as the Region III Female Athlete of the Week and Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year. She was also named 1st Team All-Region and nominated for 1st Team All-American. She had 402 kills, 43 aces, 312 digs and 132 blocks this season. “Not only is Kayla an outstanding athlete, she is also a dedicated student whose classroom performance is comparable to her skills on the court,” said coach Kristy Lynch. Barber is a freshman physical education major.
