Rochester, NY - Taking the pitch for the first time since the 2019 National Championship Game, the Herkimer Generals traveled to Rochester, NY to take on the Division I Monroe College Tribunes on Friday afternoon. In a back and forth, hard fought contest, the Generals and the Tribunes battled to a scoreless tie to open the Spring season for Herkimer.
Manabu Takahashi (Osaka, Japan) was strong in goal for the Generals, registering 4 saves on the afternoon.
Next up for the Generals (0-0-1) is their home opener at Wehrum Stadium on Friday April 9th as they will host their long-time rivals from Utica, the Mohawk Valley Hawks. Game time is set for 3:30 PM.
