Herkimer Hosts Athletic Banquet; Announces Yearly Honors

The Herkimer College Athletic Department hosted its yearly department banquet on Monday, May 5th, 2025; recognizing each team's seasons and honoring student-athletes who won department and team awards.


Green & Gold Athletes of the Month (2024–2025)

September: Female: Yetnelyz Lugo-Mateo (Women's Soccer), Male: Andrew Moulton (Men's Soccer)

October: Female: Haylie Buysse (Women's Soccer), Male: Michael Green (Men's Cross Country)

November: Female: Sage Geisler (Women's Basketball), Male: AJ Burnett (Men's Basketball)

December: Female: Imani McNeil (Women's Basketball), Male: Caleb Sanjurjo (Men's Diving)

January: Female: Imani McNeil (Women's Basketball), Male: Jayden Norris (Men's Basketball)

February: Female: Kavashia Archie (Women's Basketball), Male: Jayson McGhee (Men's Basketball)

Herkimer Scholar-Athletes of The Year:

The scholar-athletes of the year recognize student-athletes who display exceptional efforts in the classroom and on the field of play. 

This year's award recipients are Anderson Eggleston (St. Johnsville, NY) , Haylie Buysse (Keene Valley, NY), Anthony Zysk (Little Falls, NY) and Sean O'Hearon (Stratford, NY)

Nancy Fabozzi Award

The Nancy Fabozzi Award is presented each year to a Herkimer College female athlete who exemplifies the highest standards of sportsmanship, dedication, and commitment to her team and the athletic program.

This year's Nancy Fabozzi Award Recipient is: Anderson Eggleston (St. Johnsville, NY).

Lynn "Pop" Walsh Award

The Lynn "Pop" Walsh Award is given to a Herkimer College male athlete annually who displays the highest level of sportsmanship, dedication, and commitment to their team and athletic program. 

This year's Lynn "Pop" Walsh Award Recipient is: Wyatt Walters (Penn Yan, NY).
